"The Composed Cocktail" with Jim Beam

The Composed Cocktail with Jim Beam

A perfectly composed cocktail, like composing a piece of music, is an art.  Finding balance, highlighting specific notes and creating a harmonious product can produce a full-sensory experience.  Using instruments to showcase the role each ingredient plays within a cocktail, we will walk through American Whiskey history with Jim Beam, live music, and perfectly composed cocktails.

"La La Land: The Sounds and Flavors of Los Angeles"

Song_and_tonic_Prairie_Rose_Kala_Maxym

Song & Tonic, a guided music and cocktail tasting experience, teams up with Chef Louis Pechan of Hundred Miles LA to present "La La Land: The Sounds & Flavors of LA."

The_Spirit_Guild_Venice

Inspired by Chef Louis’s dedication to using hyper local ingredients, Song & Tonic will tell the story of Los Angeles by pairing and deconstructing four LA inspired songs with four artisan cocktails featuring LA-based distillery, The Spirit Guild.

Each cocktail ingredient will be paired with an instrument, harmony, or melody from the featured song.

As we mix, shake & stir, musicians play melodies and sounds that emulate the ingredients and explore their relation to the full song.
